WHO WE ARE

After working in a wine bar, Andrea and Edoardo, together with their cousin Giorgio, decided to take on a new family challenge: that of opening their own place in the area of the city they grew up in - Turin's San Salvario.

Rossorubino was opened in July 2003 - a simple atmosphere decorated in warm shades of red and wood to make way for the real protagonist: wine.

Prior to this, the cousins combined university studies and different kinds of work experience with wine-tastings, courses in wine expertise and meetings with people in the sector.

Having decided to set up a business focussing on the complex world of wine, they chose the area of the original Roman Quadrilateral to run a pilot scheme.

Two years later their wine list boasted 300 labels and the excellent results achieved and the satisfaction it brought them led the cousins to Rossorubino.

Providing sample glasses of wine became a secondary activity necessary for tasting and seen as an introductory phase prior to purchasing.

Having built up their experience, each cousin decided to concentrate on a specific area of competence. Andrea deals with the cellar, choosing the wines and products that go with them.

Giorgio concentrates on the culinary side, selecting gastronomic products and preparing lunches and aperitif-style snacks.

Edoardo deals with public relations and the commercial, administrative side of the business, as well as looking out for new opportunities related to the world of food and wine.
